View Full Version : I am not in charge!

ccoa
3rd November, 2007, 09:12 PM
I am not the owner or an admin around here, so PMing me questions will probably not get you a fast reply, since I'll have to go and ask the actual admins what's what.

If you need help, try a support ticket. :)

Mr_Smit

Maybe the staff have to make clear they are the staff, because now people from rmxp.org think you, trick, erk, seph, raz... are staff members here. But they aren't...
(Except from Mac - I dont know any further staff members here.)

Q-Man
3rd November, 2007, 11:17 PM
Certain rmxp.org Moderators / Administrators ARE staff members. I think the plan is to keep Admin/Mod staff body secret to stop the 'Police' idea which rmxp.org had.

FoxDemonSoavi
3rd November, 2007, 11:34 PM
You have the right idea Q-man.

DJ Jack
4th November, 2007, 12:00 AM
Q-Man is right!

...suspicious.

Kettlehead

ccoa not in charge... I can't cope with this situation! :p

Cocoa
4th November, 2007, 11:19 AM
If you look at Q-Man's idea, the Police are removed only to be replaced by the CIA/FBI since we don't know who they are.

Erk
4th November, 2007, 11:27 AM
will you change my user title for me? lawlz.

offtopic, your change of avatar has made me a very confused monkey.

ccoa
4th November, 2007, 12:36 PM
I am redefining my online persona. rmxp.org was making me angry all the time. Now I feel happy and cute again! ^_^ And isn't it just the cutest thing?

Draken
4th November, 2007, 12:40 PM
Erk, Sovay and Mac are obviously staff D:

Cocoa
4th November, 2007, 12:46 PM
Who knows? Q-Man does look like the person with the staffy demeanor, whilist Erky and ccoa are more whimsical in nature and look less ordered. BTW, it's Drake-in.

ccoa
4th November, 2007, 02:47 PM
Another bonus of the staff staying "secret" (I use quotes because the astute will surely guess some of them at some point) is that they can post like normal people. They can't be accused of using their position to influence debates or playing favorites.

Raziel
4th November, 2007, 02:50 PM
Actually some people were only nice to you because you were a staff member.
It's good to see it doesn't happen here. For all the staff members, I hope.

ccoa
4th November, 2007, 02:54 PM
Another good point. Speaking from experience, you can never be sure if you're getting genuine feedback or if person A is just kissing your ass or too afraid of you to tell the truth. I often felt like I could post a script that shifted all charactersets one pixel to the left, and get a dozen posts about how great and useful it is.

Cup o' Wisps
4th November, 2007, 02:56 PM
OMG CCOA!! I MUST HAVE THAT SCRIPT!!!!!!!
Meh, I wouldn't know about it, but I for one never thought did so much as to give a kudos on something just for who made it (though I might say it as such for no reason). Besides, being staff member, especially a higher up one, leaves a big target on your back when your not around for stupid immature bashing.

FoxDemonSoavi
4th November, 2007, 02:56 PM
but it is! think how radically shifting one pixel would be to the rmxp.org community. it would blow their minds.

Draken
4th November, 2007, 03:01 PM
BTW, it's Drake-in.

DRAHK-IN!!! or whatever.

And ccoa, that script, I must have it. Plz, plz I swear I won't give credit!

Cup o' Wisps
4th November, 2007, 03:02 PM
ccoa's gonna start using her self modding to get rid of us mocking the mock :D

Actually another good thing to "secret" staff is the illusion of more freedom. It actually feels a lot freer here than any other forum. Even ones with no true moderation to step in. Which is weird, cause even if I know everyone (which I pretty much do, not saying you all know me but - yeah) I'm still usually an occasional poster at first and in what? 24 hours and change I'm posting "regularly" because of said illusion.

Mr_Smit
4th November, 2007, 06:12 PM
Yea ok. Maybe keeping the staff hiden is better, like Q said it. Thats more friendly!

Cocoa
4th November, 2007, 09:33 PM
I don't know. I get this feeling of anarchy, and usually lack of staff or horrible staff (recent events) tempts me to mislead people or be mean. Although I don't think that'll be a problem currently, with most of the members people I respect and enjoy being with.

The hidden staff also leads to the fact that if someone claims to be a new staff member, only a few people would know. Should those people post about it, the staff would be uncovered.

ccoa
4th November, 2007, 09:37 PM
Simple logic - if someone announces they are staff, they probably aren't.

For an example of what we're talking about, see DevArt. Each member has the ability to delete their work, change its category, delete comments, block members, etc. Thus, anyone can have what they want on their page - harsh crits, flaming, spam, whatever floats their boat.

Erk
4th November, 2007, 09:47 PM
isn't this getting too serious and discussy for a babble post? heh.

I like that... "if someone says they are staff, they probably aren't". It's fun. But yeah maybe there should be a "mod" account as well as the "admin" shell account mac made to do generic moderating without folks wondering if it is a moderator or not.

And kids, guessing some of the staff is easy, but not as easy as you might think. I joined volunteering to help organise the site from experience, for example: that is why I'm going around posting authoritatively.

Kettlehead
4th November, 2007, 11:46 PM
I'm not announcing that I'm on the staff... Certainly not!

Mac
4th November, 2007, 11:51 PM
There is still one way to tell who is an admin but i'm not telling :P

Hehe yeah this could turn into a pretty interesting thread :D

Cocoa
5th November, 2007, 12:05 AM
Come on, Mac, we all know you are the hosting man.

2-D
5th November, 2007, 12:08 AM
Hell yeah Mac's hosting :P

It's even got his crazy noes thing running across the page.... Mac's the power man behind this whole crazy scheme.

Mac
5th November, 2007, 12:09 AM

5th November, 2007, 12:30 AM
Alright guys. Seriously. I'm really the admin here. Serrrriously.
...
.....
....

Ok moving on.

I like the staff being secret. Like it's been said a million times before I think .org kinda' began to give a police mentality in regards to it's members. It's wierd, but here I'm comfortable to get feedback for my stuff. Everyone here is staff dammit. Everyone. 'Specially me. Seriously.

Cocoa
5th November, 2007, 12:55 AM
Actually, guys, I have something to admit. I'm part of an ultra-hidden usergroup with access to the evil scheming forum. We're not staff, but it's close. All groups are anonymous, it seems. I don't even know the other members.

Trickster
5th November, 2007, 01:20 AM
JD, and Punk are staff members :)

they are the least suspected and they want to throw curve balls at you don't be fooled =P

Okay I'll stop now

in the mean time have fun :p

Mac
5th November, 2007, 01:26 AM
RaiDesu is actually the real admin, did you also know gullible isn't in the dictionary.

Raziel
5th November, 2007, 01:26 AM
We know that staff members = tools and since Seph and Trick are the biggest tools of us all... :p

alexia
5th November, 2007, 01:28 AM
...did you also know gullible isn't in the dictionary.

Did you know that I actually fell for that once? I have my "moments."

It's getting to a point now that if you don't say you're a staff member, you probably are.

FoxDemonSoavi
5th November, 2007, 05:11 AM
no worries I know that you're a staff member, I"m a staff member, casimodo is a staff member, and punk is the head admin. Yup. All true. And ccoa, she whips people that blow the secret. *winks at ccoa and gets ready for a happy time whippin*

Erk
5th November, 2007, 05:38 AM
Sorry sovay, Ccoa said *I* was to do the whipping when it comes to you. She said you kept spilling the beans too often.

FoxDemonSoavi
5th November, 2007, 05:39 AM
:< nooooo no hairy candians :< I guess if you wear ccoa's dress it will be okay.

Erk
5th November, 2007, 05:50 AM
I am not that hairy. Is ccoa's dress skimpy? I do love me a nice corset.

Elijah von Böse
5th November, 2007, 06:01 AM
I'm horrified and pleased at the thought.

I am not that hairy. Is ccoa's dress skimpy? I do love me a nice corset.

You still have your schoolgirl uniform though, right? I bet Erk would look great in that.

Cup o' Wisps
5th November, 2007, 06:58 PM
Why am I picturing Erk with a short shirt, hot pant like panties, and stockings?!!
and why do I almost enjoy that thought in a sick and twisted way?!
Just don't quote me on that.

Erk
5th November, 2007, 09:56 PM
You still have your schoolgirl uniform though, right? I bet Erk would look great in that.

schoolgirl uniforms are, like, a dime a dozen here. Pfft.

Raziel
5th November, 2007, 09:59 PM
How did we come from "I am not in charge" to "schoolgirl uniforms"? You guys are really creepy. ^^;

FoxDemonSoavi
5th November, 2007, 10:00 PM
if you read the wheel thread it honestly does follow a logical progression.

Erk
5th November, 2007, 10:03 PM
it seems pretty reasonable to me.
in charge->Sound&Music->fancy costumes->schoolgirl uniforms.

Jeez raziel.

Cocoa
5th November, 2007, 10:49 PM
Birthday suit. Whip sovay whilist wearing that. Or, even, some kind of yukata... That's it, dress up as girl and whip her, I'm sure she'd prefer that.

Erk is certainly not hairy... Well, the parts of him I've seen. Hell, I think I have more hair on my forearms than he does.

My vote is black leather. With lots of straps and buckles and things. And besides Erk, remember Jonathan? And how all the guys drooled over his ugly chick? I'd say you'd make just the same kinda chick. You've got a slender enough frame, and better boobs than him. ;p

I for one, am SOOOO not staff. But once the self-modding kicks in, believe me that I will be smacking all the fucktards around something fierce. Don't believe me, check out my deviant page. ;p

Kettlehead
6th November, 2007, 07:54 PM
What about a linen shirt, no tie, smart jacket, false eyelashes and crotchless hotpants? All in green. Green's a nice colour for Punishment.

Also, why doesn't "hairy" mean "like a hair"? Or maybe it does. Maybe Erk is long and thin and has a folicle.

Alisa_Tana
6th November, 2007, 07:56 PM
thin yes, can't vouch for the long. ;p

Kettlehead
6th November, 2007, 07:57 PM
So Erk is stubble. I see.
Nod nod.

ccoa

Yes, I took that THERE. I have a reputation to uphold :P

You and Tana both. I am quite certain that THERE is what she meant. ^_^

So we're all agreed we'd like to see Erk in drag and/or kink?

Alisa_Tana
6th November, 2007, 09:22 PM
OH I wouldn't.... I'd have to gouge my eyes out like when he tried to show me his Dontosai photos. ;p

Oh, and when am I NOT "There"??

Dargor
6th November, 2007, 09:33 PM
Why are we always talking about Erk in every threads!?
I guess I missed something.

Erk
6th November, 2007, 09:35 PM
Tana's consistent perverted giggles will forever linger in my consciousness, no matter how many spoons I jam in my ears. Ccoa, she is always "there".

Dargor, it is because I am the EYE, and I always watch.

All other eyes are off-brand and do not offer the same value for your investment.

None of that stuff seems to matter here, we have no post coutns or anythign so not much need to know who's what aroudn here. Kind of makes thigns more peaceful.
