So did anyone here who's on the east coast get anything? A good 70% of my office wasn't there yesterday because they "thought" that the roads would be bad. It snowed about an inch here during the night, and all day the only thing that happened here was some drizzle that actually melted the snow a bit.

I ended up going home just for the hell of it and working from there. :boogie:

I think we only got like a tiny bit. In the morning, there was snow covering the ground, and by the time I got home at 2:30pm, pretty much all of it was melted. I want spring already!

Basically what happened to my area was we had a big snowstorm last week, school cancellations all over, then on the weekend it switched to rain and most of it melted. Then it decided to come back, and we just got some more snow and ice the other day. We still had school because honestly it really wasn't that bad, but a bunch of kids still complained, and some were absent or came in late because we "should have had a snow day". Big babies. XD

The snow is still definitely here, though, and I admit it's getting annoying. I want to see the grass again, and it's bad enough with the little periods of rain washing the snow away and teasing us!

It rained here for about a day.. And a half...

That is a whole ton for south-wests Arizona.
So.. I got some precip too!

It snowed here early Friday morning (2AM?) and kept going for a good 12-14 hours. After that the snowflakes turned to minuscule shreds of ice/water which hit the snow and formed a hard crust over a few good inches (3-4?). School was canceled, however I had to shovel for a long time.

It wasn't all that cold, fortunately, probably 30 F! I did get frostbite on two fingers under gloves, which swelled to twice their original size because I was out there for so long.

I love snow! It was great packing snow as well.

It rarely snows where you live Diedrupo and if it did your whole state will shut down

just like my state, one snowflake falls and all of the stores close

I got rain.

I've never touched snow in my life. It only snows on the higher mountains here. And I've never been to Europe or America in the winter :(

Bleh, I am so very sick of snow and ice. There's been over 3 feet in the last few weeks (although most has melted thanks to a couple Chinooks moving through). I want to stop slipping and sliding all over the roads, and I'm tired of shoveling my walks every morning and afternoon. Not to mention unburying my car before I drive home at night.

Although really, that's less of an annoyance than the temperatures have been. It's COLD here. Below zero almost every day. Even if one were so inclined, one can't enjoy the snow when one would freeze to death if one set foot in it.

I hate the cold, I hate the snow, and I want to go somewhere WARM. Like Corpus Christi or Fiji. I hate that it will be June before it really stops snowing.

This rant brought to you by warm fireplaces and the letter B.

Haha, I have to agree if it was that cold in Pennsylvania I wouldn't like the snow now either. I like snow when it's just cold enough to enable the possibility; I don't even need a jacket to play in it. :3

Though I like warm rain so much better than snow. Theres something so nice about being totally soaked with the sky above you and being blanketed by warmth at the same time.

I can't believe it's almost already the third month of the year! Time moves so quickly, it'll be summer very soon!

I wonder what nature was think when creating snow. It's just stupid. It's cold, wet, ice makes you fall and hurt yourself, you get ill, the streets are dangerous to drive, you have to wear ugly thick clothes to stay warm, the snow reaches over my head...well kiddies have fun making snowball fight but that's basically the only advantage.
But not this year:boogie: it's like 70°F here, thanks Global Warming!
I'm sorry for all you over seas, who have to freeze, but hey, those huge earlaps are fashionable now...

LA, assuming you're in LA...

I got my 'Stormy Kromer' on, and I'm going out to shovel snow & breathe some nice fresh air. Beats the heck out of that brown stuff you guys breathe everyday.

Be Well

Im in Utah, and over the last month we have received about 512 inches of snow in the mountains right behind my house. And about 5-6 feet of that at my house. It hasnt snowed in about 2 weeks and almost all the snow has melted. (YAY!) But at the same time, I love the snow. Sure its cold and all them things, but what is the best way to get water back into the mountains at back into the landscape without a tidal wave?

WONDERFUL Weather right now. It's truly marvelous. I'm not sure of the exact temperature, but it's a bit cooler than room temperature with nice sunshine. And a gentle breeze. And, of course, fresher than the inside.

Very cold here today (-7F (-22C) with wind chill), but it's bright and sunny!

I gotta say, whenever friends poke fun at me for all the snow and cold I get in the winter, I kindly point out that I also do not boil and get regular average triple digit temperatures in the summer (or, 38+ temperatures for the Celsius folks).

Over the weekend we got some blasting winds that exceeded some 60mph or so. Very high winds. Knocked over a church, and made the Baptists cancel the picnic. Made front page, no joke. It also had part in knocking out the town's cable and internet provider NPG for about 12 hours. There was a line outside their small offices today after school, undoubtedly people who lost their digital phone service and got mad. But today it was sunny, nice and warm, this weather won't last though, it'll hit 100 halfway through March. urgh, so not looking forward to it.
