If we are learning and helping, is there really a NEED for ratings on this forum? They seem a bit odd. :o That's all I have to say on the subject! I don't want them, as they make no sense for this type of board we are trying to create!

If you think they should stay, well you should say something!

I could understand the Ratings system for feedback or answers topics, but I agree with you when it comes to personal resources. Especially since we're trying to encourage growth, low ratings due to current lack of ability would just discourage improvement for the mainstay.

But yes, I think it should be removed.

I think they mean topic-ratings, which indeed aren't really necessary.

Umm... then why are there stars in the music section of the forum? : http://spongen.org/forumdisplay.php?f=6 There are three threads that have stars next to them, which is what I am talking about. =_=

Unless something got removed either before I joined and started looking around, or I just never noticed - I have yet to see any form or rankings whatsoever.
